During the master program in Business Information Systems we had the opportunity to visit some interesting San Francisco based companies.
We stayed in the Terrace Inn near Stanford University. From there we made day trips to Berkeley, Muir Woods, Napa Valley and Sacramento.
Eating at the Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant (The Culinary Institute of America) is a good culinary experience. It offers great food in a nice atmosphere. The building was built in 1888 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. You can also visit their wine cellar (Greystone Cellars).
We spent time at Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Hilti and Sennheiser R&D but there was always enough time for sightseeing.
